Urgent Care

Optum is looking for an experienced, Full-Time, Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Pasadena, CA. The clinicians we seek are those who practice medicine with a focus on patient care, not volume.  We want our clinicians to take the time needed to truly address the patient’s needs.

Position Details

• Work at our Pasadena Urgent Care clinic that is open 24-hours/365 days per year
• Avg patient census 2 per hour, slightly higher during flu season
• Shifts are a mix of days, weekends and evenings, 8-10 hours in length
• Generally, six other providers working at peak times
• Physicians are on shift at all times
• Competitive base pay with additional compensation for evening, weekend, holiday shifts
• Facility has 26 patient rooms, observation rooms, central telemetry, wound care clinic
• Ample support staff to ensure patients move smoothly through the clinic

  Requirements

  • 3-5 years of full-time experience in Urgent Care or ER setting
  • Proficiency with urgent care procedures: laceration repair, I&D, sutures
    • Unrestricted CA Medical License
    • Current CA DEA certificate required prior to start date
    • Comfortable working evening, overnight or weekend shifts

      Preferences

      • Spanish fluency
