Psychiatry

Friends Hospital in Philadelphia, PA is recruiting a Psychiatrist to work as or Medical Director of our designated Crisis Response Center offering assessments, treatments and referrals for adults 24/7. The Physician will work with a cohesive multidisciplinary team of behavioral healthcare professionals comprised of psychiatrists, registered nurses, masters-prepared counselors and mental health technicians who serve as an access point for individuals and their families who may be in crisis and are seeking help. The position offers flexibility with minimal call requirements by phone only.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The qualifications for the position are the minimum requirements needed to be successful in the position. The level of experience and expertise for the job is determined by the current amount of expertise in the unit/department. If training or experience is not required but would be desirable, it is listed as preferred however; persons without preferred background will be considered in the hiring process.

Education, Training & Experience (includes licenses or certifications).

1. MD/DO degree from an accredited program required

2. Board certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry required

3. Licensed to practice in the State of Pennsylvania or ability to obtain a PA medical license.

4. Minimum of six years of training/practice experience

5. Psychiatric ER and Triage experience preferred

6. Meets all credentialing criteria required by participating physicians
