One of the largest healthcare systems in Connecticut is adding an Infectious Disease physician to our western Connecticut location.

About the Position

• 100% Infectious Disease with a mix of both inpatient and outpatient
• Inpatient consultations are at a 109-bed, general acute care community hospital that serves as a regional health care resource for 100,000 residents of Litchfield County and Northwest Connecticut.
• Outpatient consultation including outpatient HIV and Hepatitis C patient treatment
• Assist with activities of Infection Prevention and the Hospital Epidemiology programs
• Assist with activities of Antimicrobial Stewardship
• System-wide collaboration with over 20 ID physician colleagues that meet monthly
• Active Hospitalist program to care for inpatients
• Shared call with other ID physicians
• Employed position with a medical group of more than 600 Providers
• EPIC EMR
• High base salary with wRVU incentives

• Located 30 miles west of Hartford and 2 hours from New York City
• Small city with a population of 35,000 people
• This community is known for its scenic views of the Litchfield Hills and its picturesque downtown area.
