Full Time Endocrinology Physician Job in Albany, NY
Location: Albany, Located in the heart of New York’s Capital District, is a medium sized area with an approximate population of 98,000, offering all the amenities of a larger urban area in a beautiful, scenic, and affordable setting.

Facility: A multi service hospital with a practice providing diagnosis, treatment and long-term care for individuals with diabetes, and other endocrine and metabolic disorders; offering the latest diabetes care technology, including insulin pump/sensor download and professional continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) for diagnosis.

Opportunity:
  • Primarily outpatient responsibilities
  • ON CALL: Hospital-they all rotate through the hospital, a few weeks out of the year; Clinic-rotate through, after hour service; Outpatient Clinic call is 1 in every 8- 10 weeks divided amongst APs and Physicians. Hospital call varies, we have 2 inpatient Endocrinologists who cover most hospital weeks so it usually ends up being 4-5 weeks per year, covering vacations, etc. When covering inpatient call, it would be in conjunction with outpatient call in the same week.
  • Specialized services include: complication screening, prevention and treatment, medication management, foot care, smoking cessation, onsite HbA1c testing, weight management and nutritional counseling, diabetes support groups, and individual and group diabetes education classes.
  • This is an excellent opportunity for a Endocrinology physician to join an outstanding practice
Compensation:
  • Salary range: To be discussed at interview
  • Relocation Allowance if applicable: The amount is determined by the distance they are moving from to the facility. It is a reimbursement-based system. Providers receive the amount in their contract, and they can submit receipts for reimbursement up to that amount.
