Facility:

This Level 2 trauma center is a teaching hospital with comprehensive surgical services. The facility features dedicated trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care services with full resident and APP support. The center provides advanced surgical capabilities in a collaborative environment designed to deliver exceptional patient care.

Opportunity: General surgery & Surgical critical care - ATLS

This is an excellent locum tenens opportunity for an experienced acute care surgeon to join a well-established team. The position offers the chance to work with residents and APPs while providing critical surgical care in a teaching environment.

Job Details:

• Rotate on one of 3 ACS services (Trauma, Emergency General Surgery, Surgical Critical Care)
• Trauma and EGS coverage is Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• SCC service is Monday-Sunday plus trauma backup
• Patient load includes 35-40 Trauma/EGS patients and 12-17 ICU patients per day
• Experience with the full spectrum of trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care required
• Experience in robotic surgery and rib plating is a plus, but not required
• All services are covered by residents and APPs
• SCC service weeks include weekend coverage for the trauma floor and ICU
• Board certification in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care required
• ACLS certification required
• Immediate start date with ongoing assignment potential
