Full Time Radiology Physician Job in Southern, CA

Southern California  

University affiliated (440 bed) teaching hospital is actively recruiting three more CA licensed Rads.  Currently there are 3.5 diagnostic Rads and 1 IR with back IR coverage.  A radiology residency is planned to begin in 2021.  All physicians share 13 weeks of pager call for Fluoro studies, weekend film reading with the team.  Average 1-2 shifts per week from home (7am – 4pm or 11am – 8pm) with no scheduled work between 8pm – 7am.  Back up coverage is available whenever required.  Daily volume is 50 RVUs with credit for conferences, having residents to teach and lectures. 

Neurorad -  Ideal candidate will be interested in a mix of imaging studies with 30- 40% neuroradiology and include development of a CT perfusion program and monthly neuroradiology lectures to Neurology and Neurosurgery Residents.  The balance is spent in the modalities that you are comfortable with.  Mammo and procedures are not required but available if desired.  Responsibilities include development and QA for neuro imaging protocols for a new medical office building with 3T MRI and PET/CT.   

Body Imager – Mammo and/or procedures are NOT required but available if desired. 

Chest Imager

All physicians are employed.  Receive 380k, 20 days of vacation, 10 days CME, 10 sick/appointment days and additional time for lecture planning.  Full benefit package including health, dental, 10k CME, retirement plan with max. contributions. 

Located in the heart of southern California, halfway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs.  Midway between surfing at the beach, camping in the desert, skiing in the mountains or downtown Los Angeles!
