This general acute care hospital is a stroke-certified facility serving the community with comprehensive medical services. The facility maintains a strong radiology department with diagnostic imaging nurses and techs, supported by a large radiology group in Sacramento for overflow and after-hours coverage.

Opportunity:
Physician - Radiology - Interventional

Job Details:
• Provide hospital radiology coverage including interventional radiology needs and stroke CTs
• Interpret approximately 50 studies per day including 12-15 CTs, 15-20 X-rays, and 8-12 ultrasounds
• Perform 4-6 interventional procedures daily, predominantly non-complex IR procedures
• Handle percutaneous procedures including biopsies, drains, and aspirations
• Perform lumbar punctures, barium studies, various centesis exams with drains, and CT/US biopsies
• Conduct IR procedures including thoracentesis, paracentesis, nephrostomy tubes, intra-abdominal abscess drainage, chest tubes, and suprapubic catheters
• Perform biopsies including thyroid, lung, and other locations
• Potential coverage for outpatient building requiring presence for contrasted CTs, MRIs, and breast biopsies
• Work with surgical, medical, ICU, and OB cases serving 12-15 admissions per day
• Schedule includes 8am-4:30pm shifts with specific coverage dates throughout the year
• Must maintain Board Certification, state license, BLS, DEA, and CA Fluoroscopy certification
• Experience with acute care imaging capability including stroke CTs and ED/ICU imaging studies required
• EMR system: Cerner

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
