Health system is seeking an Adult Staff Psychiatrist. The psychiatrist diagnoses and treats patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Gathers, organizes, integrates, and disseminates data concerning patient’s family, medical history, and onset of symptoms obtained from patient, relatives, and other sources. Assesses patient to determine general physical condition. Order’s laboratory and other diagnostic tests and evaluates data obtained. Administers or prescribes treatment and medications as required. Provides consultation to patients as requested by professional colleagues. Determines nature and extent of mental disorder and formulates treatment plan. Treats or directs treatment of patient, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
