Adventist Health White Memorial is a 353 bed community, teaching hospital, located in East Los Angeles. As one of Los Angeles’ leading medical centers for pediatric services, pediatric hospitalists and intensivists are available 24/7, and dedicated to providing the highest quality and most compassionate care to pediatric patients. The state-of-the art facility includes a 28-bed pediatric unit, a five-bed pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and a newborn intensive care in the Oscar De La Hoya level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). VEP Healthcare is actively recruiting for full time and per diem Pediatric Hospitalists to add to the new program. Please find the position requirements and specifications below:
 

• Pediatric Hospitalist shifts are 12 hour in house and 12 hour on call
• 8-10 patient encounters per day 
• Responsibilities include admission & discharge, patient rounding, and general Pediatric care
• Pediatric services available: Allergy/immunology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, General pediatrics, Hematology/oncology, Infectious disease, Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology (ENT), Pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), Surgery, Urology
• Excellent nursing staff, therapists, technicians, and ancillary staff
• Adventist Health White Memorial provides the opportunity to teach in the Family Practice Residency Program

  
  Requirements:
  BE/BC Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospitalist Fellowship Trained
  California Medical License
  DEA License with California registration
  Current PALS certification
   
  
  Compensation: VEP provides independent contractors with competitive hourly rates, flexible schedules, and paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage.  Physicians also enjoy the benefit of becoming a shareholder after 150 hours worked which allows them to be actively involved in the governance of the company.  Shareholders have the option of participating in VEP's 401(k) plan and short-term & long-term disability plans.
