This gastroenterology practice provides comprehensive digestive health services to the Fredericksburg community. The facility offers a professional outpatient environment with modern equipment and technology to support advanced gastroenterological procedures and patient care.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:
• Outpatient shift schedule Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:00pm
• Long-term locum tenens position until permanent provider can be secured
• Board certification required with 90-day credentialing timeframe
• Must maintain active Virginia medical license
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Upper GI endoscopy with various techniques including biopsy, foreign body removal, and cautery procedures
• ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) both diagnostic and therapeutic
• PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures
• Esophageal dilatation and manometry with interpretation capabilities
• Small bowel biopsy procedures
• Lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
• Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) procedures
• Liver biopsy and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion and management
• Fellowship training preferred with 3 years minimum experience
• Start date September 1, 2026 with ongoing coverage needs

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
