Critical Care - Intensivist

The Birmingham Pulmonary group in conjunction with St. Vincent’s Birmingham makes communication, monitoring and constant care our top critical care priorities to help our patients recover as quickly as possible.  We provide a comprehensive integrated multidisciplinary critical care team that meets daily in our ICUs, so we can treat any problems as they arise.  Please consider joining our critical care team.

Education, Training and Experience Required

• Board certified and experienced in hospital rounding, discharge and admitting patients
• 1 -2 years Intensivist experience preferred
• Comfortable working autonomously
• Licensed in the State of Alabama or willingness to obtain license

  Birmingham Pulmonary Group Employed APP Intensivist

  • 2 Nocturnist shifts and 1 Baylor shift (Friday, Saturday & Sunday) available
  • Block schedule, seven-on, seven-off Nocturnists schedule
  • See new ICU patients
  • Admit new consults
  • Manage acute critical care patients
  • Physicians available for consultation or in-person as needs dictate
  • Admit new patients to medical ICUs
  • Code team
  • Cerner – electronic medical record
